Slow Sundays in the Klöntal valley

The next Slow Sundays in the Klöntal will take place on 26 July and 30 August – enjoy the beautiful Glarner Alps fjord for once without a car.

You can get to the Klöntal by bike, e-bike, on foot or by bus, and there are various gastronomic options and activities on offer.

The main town becomes a golf course

The Näfels procession is held every year in April to commemorate the Battle of Näfels in 1388, in which the people of Glarus defeated a superior Habsburg army. The traditional procession visits historic sites and combines history, remembrance and cantonal identity.
