The Glarus cheese pass leads to Glarus mountain huts, where a stamp box is waiting for you at each stop. Alpine life, Glarus mountain cheese, the life of a mountain herder and a unique mountain world all in one. Let’s go to the alps. And for those arriving by camper, there are wonderful parking spaces at the Allmeind organic farm in Luchsingen, among others, and at other farms; and on 1 August, there are several brunches in the region.

We would like to congratulate all participants in the Cheese Pass and thank you for your numerous visits to the alpine pastures, for your awareness of these areas, for the work of the alpine farmers and their teams, and for the Glarus Alpine Cheese. Looking back on Alpabzüge 2025
Summer after summer, the ‘gwerch’ is held in the highlands and valleys. We look forward every year to all the Alpabzüge in the Glarus region – in Schwanden, Näfels and Klöntal, we were once again able to welcome our alpine farmers in the valley this year. A lot of chicken at the Hüsliguet farm
At the farm shop of the organic farm Hüsliguet in Mitlödi, you can now buy chicken ravioli, chicken bolognese sauce, chicken fillet in batter – just to be put in the oven – and also farm-chicken nuggets or soup chicken. In addition to the organic eggs and organic egg products – including the finest Glarus Alpine cheese from the Guetbächi Alp – they also create wonderful menus at home. You are very welcome.
Small, fine things from the Glarus farm shops
The Glarus region has many surprises in store, including the many small farm shops with self-service counters that stretch from north to south through the Glarus region. It is worth stopping by to see what surprises each farm has in store. The small treasures are a great delight.

Every summer, the Alpine teams in the Glarus region produce dozens of tonnes of the finest Glarus Alpine Cheese AOP. You can buy it in the cheese shelves of various shops or, after the Elm Cheese Market, at Glaris Schneugget in Glarus – and via the online shop directly from the Glarus Cheese Cooperative.
