Glarus cheese pass - on the trail of mountain cheese
Every summer, the Glarus cheese pass takes you to several Glarus mountain pastures, all of which are located in wonderful spots. On each of the mountain pastures, there is a cheese pass box containing a self-stamping cheese pass stamp. Alpine atmosphere and impressive mountain landscapes.
Alpine cheese is still produced on around half of all the Glarus mountain pastures. A superb natural product, made by hand. The Glarus cheese pass makes these cheese-producing mountain pastures accessible to hikers. The cheese pass always includes a nice hiking suggestion, and there are also options for overnight stays. The Glarus mountain landscape becomes more extensive as you climb higher. The pass can be ordered via info@glarnerland.ch. The final draw is always held on the first Sunday in October at the Alpchäs and Schabzigermärt in Elm.
