The Tourism & Leisure Forum Glarnerland held its eighth edition. On Tuesday, 23 June 2026, around 100 representatives from the tourism, leisure, business and political sectors met at the Kerenzerberg sports centre in Filzbach. The motto ‘The Glarnerland destination in focus’ centred on current challenges, new opportunities and direct exchange of ideas.

With ‘Charly’s Chugelibahn Adventure,’ a unique, interactive summer experience for families is being created. The project is based on the popular stories of Geissbock Charly by the Glarner author Roger Rhyner and is scheduled to open in the summer of 2027.

On Tuesday, 23 June 2026, VISIT Glarnerland will be hosting the eighth Forum for Tourism and Leisure. The event will take place at the Kerenzerberg Sports Centre in Filzbach and will be themed ‘The Glarus Region Destination in Focus’.

At the Braunwald ski resort, everything is ready for an exciting mountain summer. From Saturday, 6 June 2026, the Hüttenberg-Grotzenbüel gondola and the Gumen combined lift will be in operation every day.

With the start of the season on Ascension Day, the Braunwald Sportbahnen will open the 2026 summer season.

The Glarus Cheese Pass is also taking visitors to 20 Glarus alpine pastures this summer.
