Glarus Cheese Pass

The Glarus region has 88 Alpine pastures: discover hidden corners with the Glarus Cheese Pass. Alpine experiences, weather conditions, panoramic views – until the respective cheese pass box is reached. The Alpine hiking season then lasts from the beginning of June to the end of September.

Whether you want to hike, stop for a bite to eat or simply soak up the atmosphere, the Glarus Alps offer a wealth of options with a heart. And to help you find your favourite Alp quickly, there’s a practical Alpine overview waiting for you: clear, inspiring and full of places that you’ll definitely want to visit.

Agrotourism overnight stays

In Glarus, ‘overnight stays on the alp’ mean a real nature experience: cowbells as lullabies, a starry sky as a blanket and mountain air as a wellness programme. Whether in a simple alpine hut, in a dormitory with an alpine breakfast or completely individually on one of the Nomady pitches – you sleep right in the middle of the action, not just next to it. Far away from everyday life, close to the real alpine lifestyle. Perfect for those who prefer the smell of fresh milk in the morning to the sound of the alarm clock.

Show Cheese Factory

When the steam in the mountain hut fogs the window panes, when the Alpine herder gently dips the cheese harp into the cauldron to slowly cut the sluggish mass, then it is time for Alpine cheese. On the Nüenalp on the Kerenzerberg above Mollis, you can get your hands dirty.

The show cheese factory of Rahel and Christian Beglinger is pure Alpine experience. The chance to make cheese yourself, to learn the secret of how good Alpine cheese is made. The Beglingers show what matters. The cheese they make themselves is cared for by the Beglingers until it is finally ripe in the autumn and belongs to the person who made it.

Mollis
Christian and Rahel Beglinger offer different offers for groups and clubs. What they have in common is that the participants enjoy an unforgettable alpine experience, framed by culinary alpine delicacies.
