The 89th Braunwald Music Week will take place from 4 to 9 August 2026 under the theme ‘Northern Lights’. The kiosk at the Mühlehorn beach bath will be reopening its doors in the coming days. A new operator, the Fachstelle Augenhöhe (Equal Eye Level) of Pro Infirmis, will take over the operation, which will be organised jointly by people with and without disabilities. The municipality of Glarus Nord and VISIT Glarnerland have jointly prepared the reopening with the IG Mühlehorn.

Visit Glarnerland, the Braunwald Sportbahnen AG and other key players are jointly launching a broad-based future process for the Braunwald destination. The starting point is the strategic realignment of the Sportbahnen, which is adapting its services to the changed climatic conditions and economic circumstances. The Canton of Glarus is supporting the future process as part of its regional policy and economic promotion instruments. The possibility of support via the New Regional Policy (NRP) is being examined.
