Oberblegisee by night. In the dark, you may see less, but you hear, smell, taste and feel more intensely. For 20 years, the Swiss Hiking Night has been offering participants a unique hiking experience at night.

An entire mountain village becomes a walkable photography exhibition.

As part of the National World Heritage Days on 13 and 14 June, the UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site Tectonicarena Sardona is hosting events around the visitor pavilion near the Segneshütte.

After intensive planning, the construction of the new road section for the re-development of the Niderental valley in Schwanden will start on 4 May 2026.

The Sernftalbahn Museum in Elm will start its 2026 season on the weekend of 2/3 May 2026. The exhibition ‘A mountain valley in motion’ in the station building and goods shed is looking freshly renovated. The attractions on the station grounds include the original SeTB passenger and goods carriages and the popular garden railway for ‘young and old’. The Sernftalbahn Association will be celebrating its 20th anniversary this year.

When the peaks are still glistening and the meadows are awakening in the valley, the Glarus region shows its most contrasting side. Pack your hiking boots or grab your bike – spring is here and brings a whole lot of highlights for you!

At Märchenhotel Braunwald, the day begins anew with a little journey: The order for the egg dishes is sent to the kitchen in the egg gondola called the ‘Egg-xpress’ and on a mini Kessler snowboard, which was made by the well-known ski and snowboard manufacturer in Braunwald.

Switzerland is a skiing nation, as our skiing stars have impressively demonstrated with the winning of nine Olympic medals in Cortina (I). The stars have learned to ski in the small and large ski resorts in the country, some of which will be awarded major prizes on Wednesday evening at the Blick Winter Awards.

In Elm, an ideal family ski area with a wonderful view beckons. After a day on skis, the final descent is on a sledge down into the valley.
