Urban Golf in Glarus
What is Urban Golf?
Urban Golf is a casual experience for all generations – no prior knowledge required. Historical sites and green parks become sporting challenges. From a precise shot at a fountain to tricky obstacles: the winner is the one who completes the course with the fewest attempts. The new offer is ideal for families, companies or stag parties. Simply pick up your clubs at the Markthalle Glarus and discover the city in a playful way.
How the game is played
- The starting point of each hole is marked with the Urban Golf logo.
- The ball is always hit with the ‘Bäseli’. Tie the ‘Bäseli’ to a string and a key ring so that it doesn’t fly away when you hit it.
- You have 8 attempts for each hole. After the first hit, the ball is always played from where it lands.
- If a ball is no longer playable, it is put back where it left the regular hole.
- The ball must be played into or to the marked target with as few strokes as possible.
- The number of strokes required is noted on the scorecard.
- At the end, the strokes for all holes are added up. The player who needs the fewest strokes wins.
Note for groups: The holes do not have to be played in order. This prevents larger groups from interfering with each other.
