Luftseilbahn Tierfed - Chalchtrittli

The Tierfed-Chalchtrittli cable car was built in 1959 in connection with the Muttsee power plant as well as the Limmernboden dam and the Schwamm moated castle. It is mainly used to transport materials and the employees of the power plants.

At the same time, it also offers relief on the occasion of your mountain hike, such as in the direction of the Muttsee or Kistenpass huts.

Operating hours:

The cabin sleeps 8 people. The cable car ride is self-service during operating hours. The journey time is approx. 7 1/2 minutes

Tickets:

• Adults: CHF 12.00 (one-way) / CHF 20.00 (return)
• Children: CHF 6.00 (one-way) / CHF 10.00 (return)

Tickets can be purchased on site at the ticket machine.

Parking:

Please use the parking spaces at the valley station of the cable car.

Important notes:

• In case of bad weather conditions, the train journey cannot be guaranteed
• Journeys with plant personnel have priority
• Bicycles cannot be transported
• Hike Linthal SBB – Tierfed: approx. 1 hour 30 min
• In winter until mid-June, the Tierfed-Chalchtrittli cable car is not in operation
