Live Älplerwunschkonzert from Elm
Next Monday, 3 August 2026, the popular SRF Musikwelle Älplerwunschkonzert (Alp Wish Concert) will be broadcast live from the Ämpächli mountain restaurant for the second time. From 2 p.m. until late at night, guests can look forward to the best in folk music, dancing, fine food and cosy hours spent with fellow fans of Ländler music.
The Älplerwunschkonzert was launched over 30 years ago on the Urnerboden as a popular event, and has since become the highlight of the Alp season and a permanent fixture in the summer programme of Radio SRF Musikwelle. The Elm cable car company is proud to be able to continue this tradition together with SRF Musikwelle at the beautiful Ämpächli restaurant from last year onwards.
The Ämpächli mountain restaurant is easily accessible by gondola from Elm. The valley station is directly accessible by public transport or car, and all parking spaces are free. A return ticket for the gondola costs CHF 10 and is valid for the whole day. The official programme starts at 2 p.m. The local band ‘Chlytaler Örgeler‘ and the ‘Ländlertrio Tanzboden‘ will provide a cheerful atmosphere throughout the afternoon. The live broadcast will feature the Schwyzerörgelitrio Raphael Fuchs & Co, the Ländlerquartett Haller Häller and the Jodelquartett Alpenrösli Heimenschwand BE, who will play and yodel from 8 p.m. until late at night.
The generous Ämpächli mountain restaurant with its huge terrace, which is specially covered for the Älplerwunschkonzert (Alpine Wish Concert), including a bar and live broadcast of the concert, will not leave any culinary wishes unfulfilled. The Sportbahnen Elm team is looking forward to this day and invites yodelling music fans from near and far to Elm.
