Good news for all those who love the Glarus region: The Glarus Region Pass is now available not only to overnight guests, but to all those who have a connection to the Glarus region – locals and visitors alike. The app makes it easier than ever to access discounts, excursion tips and experiences.
Since January, overnight guests have been able to use public transport in the whole of Glarus free of charge. The system is now being extended: anyone who registers in the app will now have access to a wide range of attractive offers – from discounts on leisure activities and regional retailers to seasonal promotions.

‘We wanted more than a technical solution – we wanted to create real added value,’ says Sandra Green, project manager at VISIT Glarus. ‘The Glarus Pass benefits both guests and locals – in a simple and modern way. This is a first in Switzerland. Our goal is to make it the central platform for inspiration, experiences and networking in Glarus in the future.’

The Glarus Pass app is available for free in the App Store and on Google Play. After registering, a world of possibilities opens up: from event highlights from the Glarus Agenda to updates on mountain railways and hiking trails, and special offers from the region itself. With seasonal recommendations and up-to-date information, the Glarus Pass becomes the digital companion for anyone who wants to experience Glarus – whether for the first time or for the hundredth.
