Welcome to Kerenzerberg

Welcome to Krenzerberg – where fresh air comes free and the views are worth every step. Whether you're here to explore scenic trails, take a break from the everyday, or simply enjoy the outdoors, you'll find plenty of reasons to stay a little longer.

Perched high above the crystal-clear Walensee in the heart of the Glarnerland, Krenzerberg is a year-round destination for nature lovers and adventure seekers alike. Ride one of Switzerland's slowest chairlifts to Habergschwänd, explore panoramic hiking trails, enjoy family-friendly scooter descents, scenic bike routes, and a mountain playground in summer. When winter arrives, the region transforms into a snowy playground with one of Eastern Switzerland's longest sledging runs, snowshoe trails, and unforgettable alpine views.

Take the Scenic Route

Some rides are just a way to get from A to B. The Kerenzerberg cableway is not one of them. As you glide quietly above forests and meadows, the views over Lake Walen and the surrounding Alps steal the show. At the top, the adventure is entirely up to you—hike to a panoramic viewpoint, race downhill on a mountain scooter, or simply find a sunny spot and pretend you have nowhere else to be. Sometimes, the journey really is the best part.
