Wie entsteht der Glarner Schabziger? Betriebsbesichtigung bei der GESKA AG

Experience the Glarus Schabziger up close and look over the shoulder of our employees as the oldest brand product in Switzerland is made.

The Glarus Schabziger with its unmistakable taste has been produced in the Glarus region for centuries. On 24 April 1463, the green low-fat cheese was protected by trademark law and has since been produced according to strict guidelines with an unchanged recipe in the Glarus region. It is thus the oldest branded product in Switzerland, if not the world. The Glarner Schabziger is made from skimmed cow's milk in a special process and, after a long fermentation and maturation process, seasoned with the green black fenugreek (blue fenugreek). The traditional spicy low-fat cheese in the typical cone shape has plenty of protein, little fat and is lactose-free. We are talking about a unique, healthy and natural product that has been preserved for generations and is used in some kitchens at home but also in gastronomy. You can experience for yourself how the Glarner Schabziger, the Zigerbutter (Zibu), the Glarner Grüessli and many other products are made from Glarus mountain milk in the world's only manufactory, GESKA AG in Glarus. The maximum group size is 55 people, minimum number 15 people. Individuals have the option of registering directly with the "Betriebsspionage GLARNERLAND".
