Tilima Hütte

The Tilima Hut is located at 1,400 m above sea level above Oberurnen, in the middle of the Rieseten area. The cosy mountain hut offers space for groups of up to 20 people and is ideal for small camps, families or private events. The quiet location in the middle of nature makes it the perfect starting point for relaxing days in the Glarus mountains.

The Tilima Hut was built in 1959 as accommodation for workers in the Sonnenplangge avalanche barrier and was extensively renovated in 1997. Today, it combines the charm of a simple mountain hut with functional furnishings and offers the ideal setting for group stays in the middle of an impressive mountain landscape.

The lounge offers space for up to 20 people, and around 12 beds are available in the two bedrooms. A sleeping bag must be brought along. The hut has a kitchen with wood-burning stove, crockery and cutlery for up to 15 people, a washroom, toilet, urinal, wardrobe and a wooden shed.

The power supply is provided by a solar system (220 V / 400 watts), firewood is available. Running cold water is available, but no drinking water.

The Tilima Hut is particularly suitable for small camps, club outings, family celebrations or private events. It is accessible via a narrow mountain road and offers a quiet, natural environment with a magnificent view - ideal for those looking for relaxation and a real hut atmosphere.
