Ski tour Lochegg, Oberurnen
Beautiful ski slopes and views. A route for those who decide at the last minute.
Rarely does the snow fall all the way to the valley, allowing descents into the village. Therefore, the opportunity for this worthwhile route must be seized immediately.
The journey is by train to Ziegelbrücke and by bus to the Horn bus stop in Oberurnen. Those arriving by car can find parking on the cantonal road or by the church.
From there, it goes slightly uphill to Bränden, then a bit steeper to Tschingel, past a luxurious holiday home. Then continue first to the lower, then to the middle Lochegg and finally to the Lochegg pass. Views of the Schwändital, Niederurner Täli, the Glarus region and the Churfirsten including Lake Walen compensate for the sweaty ascent. The descent over the beautiful ski slopes follows the ascent route.
