Paragliding launch site Hirzli (1641 m.a.s.l.)

The Hirzli is located above Bilten and can be reached from Niederurnen, in the immediate vicinity of the Zurich - Chur motorway: There is a cable car from Niederurnen, but it does not lead to the summit. You should then plan one and a half to two hours if you want to fly to the area, which is equipped with few dangers. The take-off site can be reached from Niederurnen with the Niederurnen Morgenholz cable car at 983 m above sea level. From the mountain station, continue on foot on the sculpture trail, later on a flat forest path (with several seats and several water points (fountains in the lower part)) to the Hirzli. Beautiful views over the Linth plain and into the Glarus, Schwyz and St. Gallen foothills of the Alps From there, a beautiful, easy ridge to the Planggenstock (marked, T3).
