Little catered hut, Alp Empächli
Hike to Empächli and enjoy a unique view of the Glarus main thrust, the Martinlsoch and the Tschingelhörner; the UNESCO World Heritage Site up close.
In the self-service pub of Empächli, there is Empächli alpine cheese, alpine yoghurt and alpine butter as well as refreshing drinks. When the team is in the hut, a cheese platter or sausage can also be ordered. There is also a coffee or sometimes an Anggäzeltä. On advance reservation, approx. mid-July to the end of August.
The Elm-Empächli gondola lift takes you up to 1475 metres above sea level, then it's time to take the alpine road in the direction of Munggä Hüttä and Oberstafel from Empächli.
A nice hike is the Wildmad to Mettmen crossing. There is also a cheese passport stamp hidden on Empächli, which completes the hiking experience.
Another hiking option is the Obererbs – Empächli high-altitude trail.
