Only three minutes away from the Ziegelbrücke train station is the excursion port of linth-boot.ch. From there, families, friends, clubs and companies start their inflatable boat experience seven days a week every summer and swap everyday life for three hours of relaxation and joy. The journey takes you past mountain scenery and renaturalised tributaries of the Linth. During the first 15 km, the paddles are only used to correct the course, otherwise the Linth Canal ensures progress. After an hour, there is the option of making a stopover or ending the journey in Benken-Giessen. At Grynau Castle there is a second option to end the trip. In the third section, the paddling experience starts for about 35 minutes − always following the buoys − until the finish in Schmerikon. The boats dock there and the river captains start their journey home comfortably or end the day at the harbour, swimming and in the surrounding restaurants.
