Leglerhütte hut access route

The Leglerhütte SAC is located in the beautiful Freiberg Kärpf nature reserve. The hut access route leads right through the heart of Freiberg and is reachable in just under 2.5 hours (from Kies-Mettmen cable car mountain station).

Shortly after starting from the Kies-Mettmen cable car mountain station, the path leads up to Garichti reservoir. Along the dam, you can enjoy the beautiful nature around the reservoir. Afterwards, the path leads behind the lake up to Oberstafel of the Niderenalp. Above the alp, the impressive Kärpfbrugg towers, under which the Niedernbach flows. The path leads up beside it and through a beautiful valley further to Hübschboden. After another ascent to Sunnebergfurggel, the last altitude meters await – about 10 minutes before the hut you reach the highest point and continue along the gently sloping path onto the rock plateau of the Leglerhütte. Now, it’s time to relax and enjoy on the sun terrace or in the hut’s cozy room!
