The Sallerntobel, which is located between the villages of Filzbach and Obstalden below the Kerenzerbergstrasse, consists of Neokom in the upper part, and light Tithon limestone in the middle and lower parts, which has been transformed into a fine-grained dislocation breccia over time. This is known as Sallernsand and was used for a long time to gritt garden paths.
The Sallerntobel is said to have once formed the border between the Rhaeto-Romans and the Alemanni in this area.
Just standing in this place is an incredible feeling!
