Glattalphütte SAC

The family-friendly SAC Glattalphütte is located at 1896 m above sea level on the Glattalp near the Glattalpsee. It is located at the end of the canton of Schwyz in the municipality of Muotathal, bordering cantons are Glarus and Uri. The hut can be reached on foot from Braunwald.
The paradisiacal Glattalp is a popular destination for hikers, mountaineers and families. Due to the huge karst fields, nature is more varied than anywhere else.

Public transport: Take the SBB to Schwyz, then the post bus to Muotathal Post. From Muotathal Post to Bisisthal and on to Sahli. The Glattalphütte is 10 minutes away from the cable car.
Car: Direction Schwyz - Muotathal- Bisisthal - Sahli, then take the cable car to Glattalp. The Glattalphütte is 10 minutes away from the cable car.
On foot from Gumen: Gumen Braunwald – Bützi – Erigsmatt – Charetalp – Pfaff – Glattalphütte. Walking time 4 h.
On foot from Braunwald: Braunwald – Bärentritt – Furggele – Glattalphütte Walking time 6 h .
