Glarner Chämi-Salami

The history of the Glarus Chämi-Salamis begins in the sixties, when the Kunz brothers began to produce Swiss salami in Bilten, Glarus, based on the Italian model, and sold it with great success throughout Switzerland.
This success was not least due to the marketing commitment of the Bilten professional cyclist Urs Freuler. Even today, the Glarus Chämi salami is mentioned in the same breath as Urs Freuler.
Due to the closure of production in 1995, the Glarus Chämi salami disappeared from the market. The Kern butcher's shop in Ennenda was subsequently able to take over the production of Glarus Chämi-Salamis.
