Elm-Höhenweg
As there a few meters in altitude to climb, this hike is popular with families, groups and senior citizens. You arrive with the bus from Elm to Obererbs. And for descending from Ämpächli, a cable car, mountain carts or kick scooters are available.
The beautiful hike at about 1600m above sea level leads from Erbsalp via Bischofalp to Ämpächli and is accompanied by a unique panorama over the UNESCO World Natural Heritage area with the Tschingelhörner and the Martinsloch, as well as the Vorab and Hausstock. Furthermore, campfire sites along the way invite you to rest. The majority of the Elmer Höhenweg passes through Freiberg Kärpf, the oldest wildlife sanctuary in Europe. The hike is suitable for families, schools, and clubs as well as seniors.
Tip: The Berg Hotel Bischofalp, the Älpli, or the mountain restaurant Ämpächli offer refreshments along the way.
