Circular hike Filzbach-Linth canal-Filzbach

Nature reserve that is left to itself parallel to the Linth
Circular hiking route from Kerenzerberg to the Linth canal and back up the mountain.
This hike starts from the parking lot of the Kerenzerberg sports center, following the old Roman mule track, the old Kerenzerberg road, to "Before the Forest." There is the first panoramic view of the Linth valley; the path quickly leads past a lively stream zigzagging down to the valley floor at the Linth canal. It follows the foot of the mountain and the river towards Lake Walen. If there is enough time, take a detour to the sandy beach in Gäsi. The fountain before the zigzag ascent quenches your thirst. It is surprising how easily the height is overcome in the short switchbacks. And soon you are back on the mountain, hiking over the Finnish track of the sports center and through the Seminarhotel Lihn back to the starting point.
