Cheese & dairy shop 'grüne Kuh' Schwanden

In the Grüne Kuh in Schwanden you will find a large selection of regional cheese specialties. Various Glarus alpine cheeses or Schwanden Chäs are popular.

Susanne Pfeiffer and Köbi Reutlinger offer around 90 types of cheese in their specialty cheese shop in Schwanden.

The Schwander Chäs is special, whose rind is rubbed with ziger clover (fenugreek) and thus receives a gentle ziger note. 10 different varieties of Glarus alpine cheese are also on display.

There are also cheese specialties from other countries, such as Stilton from England or Manchego from Spain.

Köbi Reutlinger's favourite cheese? "I especially like strong, spicy cheese," he says.
