Berghotel Bischofalp

The Berghotel Bischofalp is located on the Elmer Höhen- und Winterwanderweg, directly on the ski slope. The large sun terrace offers a unique view of the famous Martinsloch and the Sardona tectonic arena.

The Berghotel Bischofalp in Elm is located on the edge of the forest, in the middle of the hiking trail network of the Freiberg-Kärpf wildlife reserve in Glarus. It can be reached with a leisurely walk in about 30 minutes from the Ämpächli gondola mountain station. Chamois, deer and marmots can be followed from the wildlife observation station. The direct view of the Martinsloch is unique.

For skiers, snowboarders and snowshoe runners, the mountain hotel is located directly on the ski slopes, on the winter hiking trail and on the snowshoe trail.

Special experiences such as "Melkstuhl Ice Rink" and "Geissglöggli-Bimbele" are offered for groups.

The hotel has modern twin, quadruple and five-bed rooms (family rooms).

Price information

Our prices do not include local tourist taxes. Deposit your luggage in the Bischofalp luggage depot at the ski house of the Schwanden Ski Club at the Ämpächli gondola mountain station and inform us 24 hours before your arrival. Outside of the gondola lift travel times, we will pick you up personally at the valley station car park in Elm by appointment.
