Guided wildlife observation in Glarus South
An impressive autumn afternoon between nature, silence and the bellowing of the deer.
In September, the mountains around Braunwald show their most impressive side. During the rutting season, the deep roaring of the animals fills the remote Durnachtal valley, making this short time of the year a special nature experience in the Swiss Alps.
Together with hiking guide Gabi Aschwanden, you will experience the rutting of the deer in a quiet atmosphere - far away from everyday life and off the beaten track.

Please note: Payment is made directly in cash to Gabi Aschwanden when the event is carried out.
Schedule of the afternoon
The meeting point is at 1.35 p.m. at the valley station of the Braunwaldbahn in Linthal.
Together we drive to the Durnachtal and start the hike from there.
The ascent takes about 1.5 hours and includes about 500 meters of altitude. Once at the top, there is time for wildlife observation and a small aperitif.
In the evening return and return to Linthal.
Arrival at the Braunwaldbahn around 8.15 p.m.
For the ascent, please bring your own snacks and sufficient drinks.
