On Sunday, 13.09.2026, the Klausen Pass will be closed to cars and other vehicles that are not e-bikes, mountain bikes, racing bikes or recumbent bikes. All cycling fans can take part in the Klausen Monument and enjoy this event with friends.
The event is not a race. There is neither a fixed start time nor is individual timekeeping offered - this event is intended for one's own enjoyment and the connection of cycling fans.
From 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., the Klausen Pass will be closed to motorized private traffic.
The official start of the event will be at 10.00 a.m., but can be chosen freely during this period.
Participation is free of charge, but prior registration is necessary and the Klausen Monument association is grateful for any financial support, so that this event can continue to inspire cycling fans in the future.
Starting points are Unterschächen and Linthal. The goal is the Klausen Pass, but also to have fun.
Stops can be made at the restaurants.
We would like to point out that public transport will not run between Unterschächen and Linthal during the duration of the event. The exact travel times can be found in the online timetable on www.sbb.ch/fahrplan.
-> On Axenstrasse, the ban on cycling at the Klausen Monument will be lifted from 6.00 a.m. to 9.00 p.m.
