Geführter Rundgang durch die Ausstellung "Berg Kind Welt", 20. September 2026

"MOUNTAIN CHILD WORLD" is a "hikeable" exhibition that connects the work of the Glarus photographer Emil Brunner (1908 – 1995) with the landscape of Braunwald. Along the paths, more than 30 stations with portraits of children provide an insight into everyday life in 1943/44. And in historic stables, picture and audio stations invite visitors to immerse themselves in the social reality of mountain families in the 1940s. They are supplemented by picture and audio stations in six stables on the living environment of the mountain families. In the BSINTI, photographs from his work as a photojournalist and mountaineer are shown. The exhibition was curated by Fridolin Walcher in cooperation with the Fotostiftung Schweiz and realized together with the BSINTI.

Under expert guidance, we walk past individual portraits to stables. We conclude the tour with an individual visit to the exhibition at BSINTI. In the process, we learn a lot about the life and the entire work of Emil Brunner.
