Marvel at the mysterious world of bats and learn how you can discover and experience them around your house.
They sleep upside down, rest during the day and wake up at night. Bats are different and yet like us: they appreciate quiet living space in villages, like the company of conspecifics and take care of their offspring tenderly. Right on our doorstep, bats lead a life that is as fascinating as it is hidden. The exhibition presents typical species of the canton of Glarus, explains their way of life and shows how we can experience and promote bats. Real specimens, experience stations, photos and films as well as entertaining information invite you to discover these secret neighbours. Acoustic experiences are provided by listening stations with bat calls.
Guided tours for school classes and groups on request.
Public events according to the program.
