Wildlife observation stations
Visitors are welcome to visit the three wildlife observation stations in the Freiberg Kärpf. On the lookout for local game, you can discover more about the native species in Europe's oldest wildlife sanctuary.
Oversized bird's nests on the Mettmen-Alp (Widerstein and Oberstafel) and Bischofalp are readily accessible, providing fascinating information about the wildlife in the Freiberg Kärpf. It is only about 20 minutes from the Bischofalp mountain hotel to the wildlife observation station. You can reach the observation points within 45 to 60 minutes of hiking time from the respective cable car station.
