Braunwald
"Families welcome" is the official slogan of car-free Braunwald, awarded the Swiss Tourism Association Seal of Quality.
Starting from the Bartli the Dwarf's Adventure Trail to the via ferratas, passing the petting zoo and playground, the journey leads back to the Märchenhotel. From there, visitors should not miss a hike to the Oberblegisee, the sparkling lake at the foot of the Glärnischwand.

Elm Holiday Region
In Elm, a UNESCO World Heritage Site converges with the oldest game reserve in Europe. The small mountain village connects the Tectonic Arena Sardona, known for the Martinsloch, with the Freiberg Kärpf. The mountain railways lead directly to adventures - the Tschinglen Expedition or the Giant Forest Adventure Trail, to wildlife observation stations or mountain cart rides. "Dr Füüfer und z Weggli", that's what you say, in Elm.

Glarus
The smallest town in Switzerland, that's how Glarus describes itself. Once you take the train up to Aeugsten, Glarnerland is at your feet, and suddenly Glarus, boasts a magnificent panorama stretching all the way to the horizon. Invigorated by a stop at the Augstenhütte, the climb to the Fessis Seeli is well worth it. Not only is Glarus the smallest town, it is also part of the Tectonic Arena Sardona - ancient geological history set in stone, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The cable car from Niederurnen to Morgenholz is slightly faster. Niederurner Täli is the starting point for various hikes - with the sculpture trail, the Mettmen playground and the Hirzli restaurant.
