The Kunsthaus Glarus offers a platform for the presentation of Swiss and international contemporary art as well as the collection holdings of the Glarus Art Association and regional art.

Showcasing distinctive approaches to contemporary art, the Glarus Art Museum became renowned in the mid-1990s within both the Swiss and international communities. Despite its peripheral location, it has become established among the centres of contemporary art in Switzerland. The orientation of the Glarus Art Museum concentrates in particular notably on artists from the younger generation whose work has hardly had a chance to be presented in the mainstream art scene in Switzerland.
