Freiberg Kärpf
Well over 450 years old, Freiberg Kärpf is the oldest game reserve in Europe. It is also one of the most extensive in Switzerland, covering an area of 106 square kilometres.
Today, numerous ibexes, chamois, deer and roe deer live here - along with marmots, eagles, black grouse and a host of other wildlife. With luck and patience, you can observe them with the naked eye. The fantastic mountain landscape offers unforgettable natural experiences. Offering alpine flowers, meadows and herbs, along with rock faces, mountain lakes and forests. Freiberg Kärpf is a true paradise in the middle of Glarus. A warm welcome awaits you, with just a tiny request to be considerate of plants and animals.
