With the Hiking trophy Glarnerland, very close to the Martinsloch
The snow is melting, the urge to hike is growing: the Glarus Region Hiking Trophy is back in season. Together with the Adler Brewery and ELMER Citro, VISIT Glarus Region invites hiking enthusiasts from all over Switzerland to discover four mountain hut tours and enjoy a range of culinary delights.
New destinations, familiar pleasures
This summer, the organisers are preparing two premieres: the Naturfründehuus Mettmen in the middle of the oldest wildlife reserve in Europe, the Freiberg Kärpf, and the spectacular Segnespass Mountain Lodge, very close to the world-famous Martinsloch. The Claridenhütte SAC and the newly renovated Glärnischhütte SAC are also new destinations for the new hiking cup season.
Sparkling thirst quenchers for mountain climbers
Those who set out with the collector pass will be rewarded twice: with breathtaking nature and a refreshing destination. Whether a cool Adler beer, a spritzy ELMER Citro or an ELMER Mineral – the moment of pleasure awaits at the end of every tour. And those who have collected all four stamps can look forward to the legendary hiking cup
and the finisher kit.
How to participate – preparation is key
The beer coaster collector pass is the ticket to the adventure. Order the collector pass, hike to the hut and collect the stamps – it’s that simple. All information on ordering, routes and huts can be found at wanderpokal-glarnerland.ch.
If you plan a tour to a hut, it is essential to check the current opening hours in advance. Depending on the snow and weather conditions, the start of the season may be delayed. Good preparation ensures safety and unspoilt touring pleasure.

The Adler brewery in Schwanden has been in family ownership since 1828 and is now in its fifth generation as the Glarus brewery.
