Glarus cheese pass 2026
Alpine cheese is still produced on around half of all Glarus Alps. A finest natural product, made by hand. With the Glarus Cheese Pass, these cheese Alps can be hiked.
In each case, a nice hiking suggestion is described in the cheese pass, and there are also connection options with overnight suggestions. The Glarus mountain landscape widens the higher you climb.
The pass can be ordered here. The final draw takes place on the Alpchäs and Schabzigermärt on the first Sunday in October in Elm.
At the bottom you will find all the Cheese Pass Alps in text and pictures.
When you drop it off at the drop-off points described in the pass, you will then receive a piece of Glarus alpine cheese to take home. The card also takes part in the final draw in its category at the Glarus Alpchäs- and Schabzigermärt on the first Sunday in October.
The drop-off points are: the Gössi milk centre in Glarus, the Grüne Kuh milk centre in Schwanden, the Prima in Näfels and the Volg in Elm.
The alpine hiking season lasts from the beginning of June to the end of September.
