‘Glarnerland – echt sagenhaft’: The new Glarnerland magazine presents itself in a new look

Schwanden, 1 May 2026 – In its latest magazine issue, the canton of Glarus presents itself on almost 70 pages in a more multifaceted way than ever before. Entitled ‘Glarus – truly amazing,’ the publication invites readers to embark on a journey of discovery through the region – this year in a new design.

Das Glarnerland Magazin bietet Inspiration und Informationen zu Ausflügen, Aktivitäten und Erlebnissen in der Ferienregion Glarnerland.

Nature, enjoyment, culture and human encounters form the core of the new Glarus Region magazine. The current issue takes the reader from the heights of Braunwald, through the Elm mountain world, to a more relaxed pace of life by the Walensee. The redesign gives the established tourism and leisure magazine a fresh, modern look that underlines the region’s authenticity.

Stories from the region

In addition to tourist highlights, the magazine focuses on genuinely authentic experiences. Over 20 service providers from all the sub-regions – from Glarus Nord to Glarus Süd – have contributed to the magazine with publicity reports, creating a comprehensive and authentic picture of the Glarus Region. The publication is the result of close collaboration between VISIT Glarus Region and the communicaziun.ch agency.

Interactive experience and competition

The magazine also includes a playful element: anyone who finds the ‘Glarus Region droplets’ hidden in the picture puzzle can take part in this year’s competition and win attractive prizes from the region.

Distribution and availability

The Glarus Region magazine is published in an edition of 22,000 copies. It is now available free of charge at the following locations:
