20 Years of Swiss Hiking Night 27th / 28th June 2026

Although you can see less in the dark, you can hear, smell, taste and feel more intensely. The Swiss Hiking Night has been offering participants a unique hiking experience at night for 20 years.

Oberblegisee by night

We hike from Braunwald in the dark to the Chnüügrat, where we can already enjoy the magnificent night-time panoramic view. After a short break, we descend to the mystical Oberblegisee. The ‘brave’ ones are welcome to take a plunge into the cool lake. We then enjoy a delicious and hearty breakfast in the Unterstafel of the Oberblegi Alp. The final section takes us on foot to the mountain station of the Brunnenbergbahn, which takes us safely back to the valley floor in Luchsingen. The journey to and from the event is very well served by public transport.

Requirements:
Condition for a hike of about 5 hours. Ascent: 760m / descent: approx. 920m

Costs:
CHF 95.00 per person (cash / TWINT) Prices include breakfast in the Unterstafel of the Oberblegi Alp (excluding alcoholic beverages) and the Brunnenbergbahn ride to the valley, as well as organisation and guidance by the SBV hiking guide. Not included: travel to and from the event, snacks

Equipment:
Stable hiking boots, hiking clothes suitable for the weather conditions, backpack, rain protection, headlamp (and spare batteries if necessary), snacks, drinking bottle, possibly hiking poles
