Braunwald starts the summer season
The Braunwald ski lifts will start daily operation on Ascension Day, thus launching the 2025 summer season. The Hüttenberg – Grotzenbüel cable car will be in operation every day from Thursday, 29 May 2025, and the Gumen combined lift will be in operation every day from Saturday, 7 June 2025. Summer can come: the Braunwald ski lifts are ready and will start daily operations on the long Ascension Day weekend with the Hüttenberg – Grotzenbüel gondola. The Gumen combined lift will start operations one week later, on Whitsun. The lifts will then operate daily until 26 October 2025.
Excursion ideas for the holidays
At the start of the season on Ascension Day, 29 May 2025, several popular attractions and restaurants in Braunwald will open: the Chämistube mountain restaurant on Grotzenbüel will treat its guests to traditional dishes, the Grotzenbüel rope park will offer exciting climbing experiences, the trottinette rental will open up fast descents back to the village, and the Zwerg-Bartli adventure trail will delight families with children with exciting locations and cosy barbecue areas.
The Gumen combined lift will also start operations on Whitsun, Saturday 7 June 2025. From this date, the cosy Gumen mountain restaurant, which is particularly popular with hikers and climbers, will open its doors. Also from June – weather permitting – the climbing routes at the Eggstöcken will be accessible. The spectacular routes offer a pure mountain experience in an impressive alpine setting. Until then, the Braunwald panorama hike or the hike to the mystical Oberblegisee are promising alternatives for enjoying the mountain panorama.
