Waldreservat Haggenwald
Roaring and bubbling streams in a diverse landscape
In an undeveloped, dreamy side valley of the Linth lies the Haaggenwald forest reserve. The bubbling Übelbach, the richly interlocked edge of the forest and the patches of green alder bush forest form a varied landscape. In addition, there is a forest community worthy of protection in the forest reserve, the boulder rubble-fir-spruce forest. This is home to specialized animals such as the three-toed woodpecker and the spruce crossbill.
Experience the forest reserve
The forest reserve can be explored on foot from Diesbach-Betschwanden train station in eight hours. The path leads through the forest reserve to the mountain station of the Kies-Mettmen cable car.
