Anyone who moves from the Tschinglen-Alp in the direction of Martinsloch, the landmark of Elm, will be aware that it will not be a "normal" hike. If you then wonder whether you are wearing the right shoes and whether a climbing helmet would be necessary, it would probably have been better to get advice from a local sports shop beforehand. That's why the first stop in the direction of Martinsloch is called: "Vreni Schneider Sport Elm".

The sports shop in the village centre of Elm has been running for over 50 years and is now run by the third generation. In 1970, shoemaker Kaspar Schneider opened the shop as "Schneider Schuhe und Sport", and with the skiing successes of his youngest daughter, he had the shop renamed. Together with his wife, the proven ski expert, Heiri Schneider, then continued the "Vreni Schneider Sport" until March 2022.

Now Anja and Martin Baumgartner-Schneider are taking over the traditional business and are happy to advise you if you want to go on a longer mountain tour. If you don't want to go through the Martinsloch, you can rent an e-bike at the Rent Center and explore the wider area in the Sernftal.
In winter, a large selection of Stöckli skis can be found at Vreni Schneider Sport, which can also be tested.
The skis can be booked online or by phone (+41 55 642 10 88) and picked up at the test centre opposite the valley station of the Sportbahnen Elm.
