View Point Hirzli
Magnificent view over the entire Linth plain!
The Molasseberg Hirzli offers an unbelievable view of the Linth plain with the Linthwerk. The Linthwerk was built between 1807 and 1823 under the supervision of Hans-Konrad Escher von der Linth. The wild Glarus Linth was diverted to Lake Walen, where it now leaves its bedload. Today the Linth plain is primarily agricultural land with extensive meadows and cow pastures.
