Übernachten auf der Alp Obersee-Rauti, Rautihüttli

Alp Obersee-Rauti is located in Näfels (municipality of Glarus Nord). The huts of three alpine dairymen, cheese and Alpziger production, are located at 1637 meters above sea level. The alp can be reached by car via Obersee to Sulz, the remaining three kilometres (from the driving ban) continue on foot. For hiking enthusiasts, Rauti can also be reached on foot from the Obersee via the beautiful hiking and forest path via Grapplialp in about two hours.

Alp Obersee-Rauti is a karst landscape in the midst of magnificent alpine flora and magnificent rock faces. A highlight is to climb the Rautispitz, which can be reached in about 2.5 hours for hikers with good shoes.

The beautiful pine forest a little further up invites you to linger, the alpine huts and thus alpine life are very close.

As accommodation, a very simple, well-kept dormitory with woollen blankets is available on Obersee-Rauti at the Oberstafel Rautihütten. The Rautihüttli. It is recommended to take a sleeping bag with you. It is also a stage destination of the Via Glaralpina. This tourist hut offers space for 10 people and can be booked all year round - even in winter.

If you want to eat, you can use the cooking hut with a cosy wood-burning stove, coffee and spices are available (self-catering). In summer it is a wonderful place to relax in simplicity, in nature, in being in the Alps. A beautiful barbecue area also enriches the offer.

In winter, it is also booked by ski tourers who have the summit of the Rautispitz as their destination.
