Sunnehöreli

The Sunnehöreli is one of the most popular route destinations in the Glarus region.

Shortly after the mountain station of the Matt - Weissenberge cable car, the path leads towards Engisboden. At about 1360 m above sea level, turn east and cross a small bridge to Schiben and via P. 1513 to Weiden. Now NW via Chegelböden to the Stäfeli ski hut P. 1777. Continue to Bärenboden and northwards to P. 1933.

From here there are two variants:

A) via the south ridge to Sunnenhörnli P. 2165 and further to P. 2246 "Chämml"

B) through the hollow NE towards Matt and at about 2100 m above sea level traverse westwards on the ridge to P. 2246
