Stage 02 Kärpf Trek - from Leglerhütte via Richetlipass to Elm
On the 2nd day of the Kärpf Trek, the hike leads through impressive, rocky landscapes over the Richetlipass to the next stage destination.
The tour starts at the Leglerhütte SAC. The path to the Obererbs ski hut or the Bischofalp mountain hotel mainly follows a red-white-red marked mountain hiking trail.
Shortly after the start of the tour, you can already enjoy a beautiful view of the mirror-smooth Milchspülersee at the edge to the Linth valley and the lush green high plateau of the Wichlenmatt with the Glarner Vorab in the background. With a bit of luck, you might encounter chamois or other wildlife. Shortly after the high plateau, the path leads past the Hahnenstock up to the Chalchstöckli - the most challenging part of the hike. The descent to Richetlipass takes place in steep terrain - but the path is well signposted and excellently secured with ropes.
From there, the route continues to the Obererbs ski hut. From Richetlipass, this is a mountain hike, allowing you to better focus on the views. The Obererbs ski hut either serves as a short stop or the stage destination - those who want to save some meters of the last stage can continue hiking via the Obererbs-Elm high trail to the Bischofalp mountain hotel, the second variant of the stage destination.
When booking the package deal "Kärpf Trek: 3-day hike", the stage destination must be defined in advance.
