Spaneggsee

The Spaneggsee − sometimes spelled Spanneggsee − is a small mountain lake that nestles in a hollow at the foot of the Mürtschenstock.

The mountain lake lies in a hollow between the Mürtschenstock and the Fronalpstock at an altitude of 1424 m above sea level. It is fed by the Chüetalbach and streams that rise at the eastern foot of the Fronalpstock and has no above-ground outflow.
In the same valley, about 2 km north and 340 metres lower, lies the Talalpsee.
