Schreyenbachfall
The Schreyenbach Falls used to be a natural attraction known throughout Switzerland. Since 1964, with the commissioning of the Linth-Limmern power plant, it has fallen silent. One catchment literally dug the water out of him. The water of the Fisetenbach, which rises in the canton of Uri and feeds the Schreyenbach Falls, is collected for the purpose of electricity production, i.e. withheld from the Schreyenbach Falls. However, after objections, the natural spectacle can still be followed 45 days a year.
The Fisetenbach water catchments with the Schreyenbach Falls and Wildwüestibach of the KLL are diverted every year from 18 June (14.00 hrs) to 2 August (14.00 hrs). During this time, visitors to Tierfed can observe the waterfalls in their natural form.
Of course, you can visit it all year round. An easy hiking trail leads directly to it. When it runs, however, you should not get too close to it, as stones or branches can fall down.
Wildwüestibach Falls:
The Wildwüestibach Falls are located a little further back in the valley and run on the same days as the Schreyenbach Falls.
