Energy production at the beautiful Klöntalersee
The rubble of a prehistoric landslide formed the Klöntalersee and it was further dammed with the construction of the power plant. The Löntsch power station is driven by the outflow from the 83 km² watershed around the Klöntalersee, where the water is stored and fed via a pressure pipe to the turbines of the power station headquarters in Netstal.
