Kulturzentrum Holästei

The "Holästei" is the No. 1 venue for contemporary music in the Glarus region, as well as the party venue for young and old.
In 1599, master Johann Käser created a fulling mill combined with a bark ram, which indicates a tannery.
In 1613, Ulrich Glarner's dyeing works was established. Countless companies followed, mainly active in the production and dyeing of textiles.
In 1973, the last company was discontinued, Hohlenstein Textildruck AG, which was founded in 1946.
In 1987, today's cultural centre was founded, which developed into an important cultural platform with a wide range of audiences. The "Holästei" is the No. 1 venue for contemporary music in the Glarus region, as well as the party venue for young and old.
