Kistenpasshütte SAC

Like an eagle's nest, the Kistenpass hut at 2714 m above sea level sticks to the rock and offers a breathtaking view down to the Limmernstausee and a fabulous view of Selbstsanft, Bifertenstock, Tödi and the Kaiserstock (SZ).

Accessibility from Linthal

From Linthal to Tierfed (approx. 6 km from Linthal GL train station) you can get there by car (parking spaces available) or by taxi (Taxi Edy Keller, Tel. +41 79 431 66 66). From Tierfed, the cable car takes you to the Chalchtrittli mountain station. From Chalchtrittli - Muttseehütte (newly developed path) - Kistenpasshütte approx. 4 hours (from the mountain station).

Accessibility from Brigels

From Brigels Tavanasa railway station, then take the post bus to Brigels (Breil). The hike from Brigels - Kistenpass - Kistenpasshütte takes about 5 hours. From Brigels, you can take the chairlift to Crest Falla (www.brigels-bergbahnen.ch/betriebszeiten) or take Taxi Mario (www.taximario.ch, Tel. +41 81 841 22 22) to Alp Quader. This shortens the path somewhat.
