Kärpf-Trek: 3-day-hike

Hike the oldest wildlife sanctuary in Europe. Mountain huts, mountain lakes, animals and a diverse flora are constant companions

Today, the 106 square kilometre protected area is home to healthy and vigorous populations of deer, chamois, ibex, marmots, roe deer, eagles and black grouse.

The Kärpf Trek is a mountain hike that you can undertake individually and independently. It is safe and also suitable for mountain-going children, although not a walk. At some points along the way, attention and surefootedness are required.

Procedure:

Day 1: Individual arrival and 1st stage (approx. 4 hours) Mettmen - Leglerhütte SAC, overnight stay

Day 2: Stage 2 (approx. 5 hours) Leglerhütte SAC - Berghotel Bischofalp or Skihütte Obererbs, overnight stay

Day 3: Stage 3 (approx. 4 hours) Berghotel Bischofalp or ski hut Obererbs - Mettmen, individual return journey

The blogger 'Travelita' hiked along the Kärpf Trek. You can find what she writes about it in her blog post: www.travelita.ch
